NHMA Legislative Request
As you may or may not be aware, the NHMA has determined that one of our strategies should be to get legislation introduced to help in our efforts to be recognized as a trail user in New Hampshire. To this effort we sent a proposal to Rep. Jay Phinizy who agreed to sponsor the Bill. This information was then sent to Legislative Services who will put it into a formal Bill format to be voted on by the legislature. This process has officially begun and we wanted to make everyone concerned to be aware of its progress. Once it comes out in a Bill format we will put on an all out effort to contact our local Representatives to ask for their support and we will need the help of EVERYONE to do the same. We will keep you informed of the progress.

A Legislative Service Request (LSR) is when a legislator makes a request for the drafting of a bill. Our LSR is number 2007-H-0117-R. To view or track this LSR click on the link below. You can also click below to read the documents we sent to Rep. Jay Phinizy.
