Meeting Minutes - October 16, 2006
Meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM
Present: Tom Dimaggio, Bob Heckman, Greg Barker, Josh Stevens, Leif Erikson, Jim Lalla, Joyce Matott.
Previous month's minutes approved.
Treasurer's Report
Balance in Treasury is $2,534.90.
We have 79 paid members.
OLD BUSINESS:
Hill Village Parking Lot
Hill Village parking lot is finished! Keith Bryar graded the area. Thank you Keith! There will be head-in parking only.
Legislation- Jim sent email to Jay Phinizey.
NEW BUSINESS:
DRED dollars are available under member safety grant- the time frame runs out 3/07.
"DOGSLEDS ON TRAIL" signs are available and would be good to have at next year's Trade Fair. A Motion was approved to ask for dollars for trail signage.
There was more discussion in regard to Mushers Financial Impact studies.
U of Maine has statistics and final report -impact on Arouska County.
This is an important marketing geared tool for our Mushing Community. ISDRA's study is not finalized.
Next meeting: will be November 13,2006 at 7:00Pm at Sendaishi Pet Resort in Manchester.
