Meeting Minutes - April 22, 2003

OLD BUSINESS:

President's Letter:
Tom and Bob presented a general letter of progress for our newsletter. It should be reviewed and commented on via email by 4/29/2004 latest.

Hill Village:
NESDC is putting on a race with the Corps of Engineers.
A quick review of last months discussion finds us in favor of supporting multi-use trails at that site, not single use. We are in support of the race being held there.

Club Logo:
Rhonda has put the logo on a nice letterhead and on a great long-sleeved cotton polo shirt. The shirt can be produced as ordered which saves us from putting out a lot of money up front for production.

Rhonda proposed that we add an order form for the shirt to the website. This form would be mailed to her for processing. She projects that 25% of our membership might buy a shirt ($250 profit @ $25/shirt).

Patches and Decals:
The logo is being digitized for a patch embroidery estimate. Decal prices: 4% round clear window decals made with a 4 color process can be produced.
125 units @ $4.25/ea
250 units @ $2.50/ea

Jim Lalla motioned to hold off on buying any more promotional material until we can build profits with which to use for stickers and patches. All agreed, motion passed.

Trail Maps:
George is working on format of information specifically parking areas.

Publicity Director: Needed.

Legislative Watch Coordinator:
Needed to be able to monitor and lobby as necessary. This person or people must be committed to showing up at appropriate hearings.

Friendly Contacts:
    Carl Johnson - Senate
Jay Phinizy - Rep from Acworth
Find: Reps on Resource and Rec committee.

Economic Impact Study:
Christine met with Dr. Manalo at UNH. They are interested in helping us design a survey. She also presented a few options for funding.

The motivation for this project is to show what monetary contribution dog mushing makes to the state of NH.

Christine was authorized to go ahead with survey design and grant application for funding and implementation.

Snowmobile club certificates:
Discussion on how best to carry this out continues. Samples were presented.

Rhonda motioned that we have a form on the website where folks can vote for their club of choice, George 2nd.

Greg Barker suggested including a cover letter all agreed on the letter but not on how to make in individual.

Votes will be collected and assessed by the Annual meeting.

NEW BUSINESS:

None.

Next Meeting:
May 20th at 7pm in Concord. Post on the web that its an OPEN MEETING FOR ALL interested parties. Also post the Agenda.

Meeting was adjourned at 9pm.

Respectfully submitted by Christine Richardson, secretary.
