Meeting Minutes - December 2011


Pending Board Approval
 The Meeting Started at 6:58PM Board Members calling in: Tom DiMaggio, Bob Heckman, Jim Lalla, Greg Barker, Peter Franke, Jaye Foucher and Leif Erickson



Treasurer's Report: $600.73.

Financial Report – The report is complete and distributed to the BOD. Tom will distribute to race sponsors and DRED and the Governor.

WEB Site:
Site is in process of moving to Go Daddy from ADDR saving NHMA several hundred dollars over three years. – Jaye and Jim D
The Mentoring page form is going to NHmushersassoc@yahoo.com but no one is collecting the forms. Jaye and Jim D will investigate and set up a better system.
Bob H asked to have an Events page set up on the web site where any organization could list their sledding event. All agreed. Jaye and Jim D will investigate and put in place. Greg suggested that we make sure to have each event listed is linked to the listees web page so people can check for any changes.

Trails:
RTP founds are drying up. This will affect our trails. This is federal money that is used to help snowmobile clubs buy new grooming equipment and material to improve their trails like dirt, gravel and bridging material. It is money that was given to all clubs to help improve our trails there for it is important that mushers understand why their trails may not be groomed to their expectation. They also need to join their local snowmobile or ATV clubs to help with trail work.
Some trails up north have been affected by Hurricane Irene. People need to check with local mushers before training. Bear Notch road?
Bear Brook and other state park gates are closed after the 15th of December per park rules regardless of snow conditions.
All is well at Hill.
NHMA Trails Database is available for trail updates. Members need to be reminded to update the trail conditions after training. Bob H to send out email to members reminding them to please do timely updates.

Next Conference Call meeting will be Monday January 23 rd at 7PM. Bob H will send out call-in info the week before. One of the agenda items will be the Annual meeting.
